"Dating from 1953, this R-Type has benefitted from a partial restoration and is ready to be completed. Originally supplied to its first owner in Belfast back in April 1953, it was relocated to America at some point, returning to the UK in 2016. The coachwork is attractively finished in metallic light and dark blue, while the interior has been trimmed in pale grey with contrasting dark blue piping. Interior wood work is freshly refinished. The car starts and runs and is just in need of cosmetic attention and a mechanical overhaul to create a fine example. The beauty of the MK VI and R-Type models is that they are still seen as a rewarding project for the dedicated DIY enthusiast, as well as a potential valuable investment.
