When this beautiful Anarge rolled off the Production Line and down Pym’s lane in Crewe, in 2002, one can only imagine the Pride and Delight bestowed upon those fortunate owners , truly privileged to have taken delivery of this magnificent Marque. Manufactured alongside the last of the Rolls Royce Seraphs – was it collected from Crewe; perhaps driven up to Merton College Oxford or Pembroke in Cambridge for a quick tour of youthful reminiscence , before crossing the Channel and on into Europe? Or perhaps delivered directly into Paris, Vienna – or Moscow!
Irrespective of into which Glamorous City this car was delivered it would have shone brightly as a Statement of both personal and automotive taste, of the very highest level.
The Global Financial Crisis of 2008 was a way off then. As was Boris. And Brexit. And the Global Pandemic. And of course the subsequent Mulsanne and more recent Flying Spurs. And so now to 2024. Some twenty two years after delighting ‘The World’ - this Anarge has ‘come home’ to Flying Spares. What a Journey – was she pampered? Was she traded? Was she stolen….and recovered? Her slashed seat; broken wood; and ravaged boot – all so unimaginable back in 2002. Symbolic of a ‘Judgment Day’ in the face of Deity – will this Anarge face restoration - Or Eternal Damnation?
