“There are times when beauty is only skin deep, as is the case with this early Continental GT, dating from June 2004. Originally finished in Silver, it has been treated to a Pearlescent White wrap which contrasts nicely with the black interior, a few updating enhancements adding to the overall effect. The fact that it would not start on arrival, did detract from the initial impression somewhat. Further investigation by our workshop team revealed a broken con-rod amongst its twelve cylinders which explained its reluctance, and rendered the engine, at 90,000 miles, unserviceable. Signs of water ingress, together with a number of electrical issues, mean that the car is now heading for our recycling department where it will provide much needed parts for similar models.”
