“The early Silver Shadows and corresponding Bentley T Series are much admired for their simple ‘uncluttered’ appearance. This was very much the case when the previous owner of this 1967 example purchased it with a view to a relatively easy restoration. However, after discovering half of the engine in the boot, professional guidance was sought, and the diagnosis was not good. In addition to a full engine rebuild, the complete hydraulic system was found to be in need of replacement, and numerous corrosion issues required attention. All this before the coachwork was considered. It was subsequently decided that the outlay required to restore the car would far outweigh the ultimate value of it. Once recycled, It will yield some very useful components for these earlier models.”
