"June 1970 saw the first registration of this Silver Shadow. Acquired some 8 years ago as a restoration project, the enthusiasm was lost along the way and deterioration set in. The usual mechanical problems created through lack of use, together with extensive corrosion issues mean that the car is no longer a viable proposition. No doubt the ‘DEL’ registration has a connection with the decals that now adorn the rear screen in acknowledgement of the ‘Trotter’ family, from Peckham, but they are not enough to save it from our recyclers."
