“Fifty one years ago, the first proud owner of this motor car took to the road in his brand new, pristine, hand-built Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. The pinnacle of success, at the time. What happened in the intervening years between then and now is somewhat of a mystery. Having been through the hands of just four owners, it’s pretty obvious that at least one of them was not particularly caring. Acquired more recently as a restoration project, the enthusiast involved realised that the task would prove far more than a bit of weekend work, even after the moss was removed. His head was turned by a far more rewarding potential project, so we were happy to take this one off his hands. Our recycling professionals will approach with caution.”
