Every year, Rolls-Royce and Bentley enthusiasts from all over the USA eagerly await the Rolls-Royce Owners Club (RROC) Rally. In June 2023, the historic town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, played host to this automotive extravaganza, showcasing a spectacular blend of luxury, elegance, and a deep appreciation for these famous brands.
Gettysburg, renowned for its rich history and picturesque landscapes, proved to be the ideal backdrop. This small town, steeped in American heritage, provided an extraordinary atmosphere that perfectly complemented the classic elegance of Rolls-Royce and Bentley automobiles. From the quaint streets to the rolling countryside, every turn showcased the harmonious blending of automotive beauty and historical significance.
It was the first time Flying Spares attended the rally and it was great to see such an impressive collection of Rolls-Royce and Bentleys, spanning various eras and models. From the iconic Phantom to the modern-day Cullinan SUV. We were treated to an amazing display of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motoring. Impeccably restored pre-war models stood side-by-side with the modern designs of the later incarnations, highlighting both brand's evolution while honouring its timeless legacy. We also managed to visit the impressive Rolls-Royce Foundation Museum. It’s a must for Rolls-Royce and Bentley enthusiasts.
The Rally itself offered more than just a stunning visual spectacle. Participants were treated to a range of engaging activities and events throughout. Keynote speeches from both Bentley and Rolls-Royce USA, outlining their automotive vision. Informative workshops, panel discussions, and presentations by industry experts delved into various aspects of Rolls-Royce and Bentley ownership and the art of automotive restoration. Guided tours of historic Gettysburg were also on the itinerary, which allowed attendees to explore the town's landmarks and learn about its pivotal role in American history.
The RROC 2023 Rally in Gettysburg stands as a testament to the enduring allure and timeless elegance of Rolls-Royce and Bentley. The event showcased not only the brand's illustrious heritage but also the strong community of dedicated owners and enthusiasts who continue to carry the torch for automotive excellence.
We would like to thank everyone for making us feel so welcome, with a special thank you to Bonnie, Kathy and Mark at the RROC for being so helpful throughout. See you all in Nashville next year.
