Bentley Eight-  FSD 764

Chassis:  CH16325

‘Picture the scene. A locked compound behind a shipping yard, full to the brim of luxury cars in the south of Wales, left to be consumed by Mother Nature. Completely abandoned. No logbooks. No keys. No owner to be found... No, it’s not the opening scene of a Guy Ritchie movie. It’s the rather unfortunate reality of a landlord in Cardiff who hadn’t been able to contact his tenant in some time. Among the slowly deteriorating collection of vehicles were no less than 3 Bentleys, so, the natural reaction was to contact Flying Spares. You know how we love a challenge.

1 of the 3 was this 1986 Bentley Eight finished with dark blue paintwork and a magnolia leather interior. The term ‘barn find’ is often thrown around the classic car community but unfortunately this Bentley wasn’t afforded the luxury of a sheltered barn and so this ~ yard find ~ sports 50 shades of moss, both inside and out. Corrupted seals on the doors and windows have lead to a majority of the upholstery being entirely unusable and little needs to be said about those tyres.

With its MOT expiring at the start of 2018 and its last known logbook issued in March of the previous year, it's safe to assume that this car hasn’t been on the road for the last 6 years. And it shows. With all that being said, this car - along with its two companions, will go on to provide a wide range of useful components for far more deserving causes. Currently sat in our yard here in Merry Lees, this Bentley Eight has covered the last of its 77k miles and awaits its introduction to our dismantling and technical teams.'
