“First registered in 1987, this early fuel-injected Silver Spirit had seen use in the ‘wedding trade’ but has been off the road for a few years. Unfortunately, this lack of use has resulted in corrosion taking hold in the usual places, together with a number of mechanical issues. The car does start and drive to a degree, but during assessment in our workshops, blue smoke was seen to be emitted from the exhaust system, and the gears were found to be slipping and slow to engage when the car was driven. As is often the case, the amount of work now required is far from economical so the car is destined for our recycling team to provide useful parts for other similar examples.”
