Rear Trailing Arms
It is very common, over time, for the rear trailing arm seats that hold the rear road springs to collect water causing them to corrode from the inside.
During routine service it is recommended that these cups are checked for signs of corrosion to ensure there is no danger that the rear shock absorber does not force its way through a corroded seat.
We have had replacement cups made (SS23 & SS24) which can be welded onto the trailing arm in situ if the seats are badly corroded.
