Pistons & Liners

The first SZ models were fitted with 9:1 CR pistons, apart from cars supplied to North America, Japan & Australia which were fitted with 8:1CR pistons.
Turbo models were also fitted with 8:1 CR pistons.
The 1986 model year cars were fitted with a later design of piston which took different compression rings to the earlier pistons.
If purchasing piston rings please confirm the part number stamped onto the crown of the piston before ordering.
Pistons and liners are matched according to their grades.
