Rear Road Springs

The rear road spring is removed using tool RH9299. The tool threads into top spring cup UR71196.
It is very common for this cup to be badly corroded. This means it is possible for the cup to collapse once the tool has been threaded into it allowing the spring to work free. This is potentially very dangerous so we strongly recommend that once the tool is in place that you also use a pair of standard spring compressors on the outside of the spring to act as a fail-safe.
